So right.i was astounded when I made my first film how many fake ripoff “festivals” there are. I got suspicious when I saw a festival in London, where I live, but I’d never heard of it! How could there be s big film festival in my city that I don’t know about?!

I did some research and realized there is s whole industry preying on filmmakers. The same exists in fine art, I’ve seen some insane stuff!

Basically, we creatives need to be a bit more savvy and less naive. This article is great and I hope plenty of people see it.
