There were always 2 types of GenXers
The ones that professed to hate boomers but have sat under the boomer table sucking crumbs
Many of these have rich boomer parents who helped them buy houses
Then the ones that didn’t drink boomers Kool Aid and either have horrible lives of addiction and sometimes poverty ; or are happy in a cynical way, aware we’ve compromised but still not 100% sucked in.
