It really astonishes me how so many newspapers and magazines responded to digital culture by throwing in the towel and giving up on journalism, offering instead low quality “content” instead of thinking about ways to make a more appealing offering.
I think we are at peak subscription now. I’m probably going to cancel Netflix soon and the other day I cancelled a channel. Got rid of Disney already. Failed to renew various other subs.
I keep Medium because it has so much variety, though the quality is very uneven but that’s ok.
